In my last post, I shared how I decided to go gluten-free and dairy-free to support my daughter’s needs. What I didn’t expect was how much it would end up benefiting me as well.

After I had Magnolia, I felt pretty confident in my body-I had just brought a beautiful baby into the world! My body did that, and I wasn’t ashamed of how I looked. But by the time I hit the two-month postpartum mark, reality set in. I realized I wasn’t at a healthy weight, and I didn’t feel good about how I looked anymore. My body confidence took a nosedive.

Cutting out dairy initially helped me lose a little weight, but it wasn’t enough for me to get back to a healthier place. I thought about starting at-home workouts, cutting back on eating out, and even giving up caffeine. I managed to cut caffeine, but let’s be real-the working out part was tough. I was navigating life as a stay-at-home mom while also trying to carve out time for myself, and it felt like an impossible balancing act.

Just when I was starting to lose hope, I decided to cut gluten out of my diet. I’ve done it before and experienced major changes-weight loss, fewer stomach issues, and even improved moods. Yes, you read that right: cutting gluten makes me less moody. My mom actually suggested going gluten-free when I was a teenager because I struggled with my mood and energy, and it worked wonders back then.

This time around, the results were just as noticeable. Within less than a month of going gluten-free, I Lost six pounds. But it wasn’t just the weight loss-I’ve been feeling so much better emotionally. Being less moody has made a huge difference, not just for me but for my family too.

I won’t sugarcoat it- going gluten-free and dairy-free can be tough at first. But once you start and stick with it, the changes you’ll see and feel in less than a month make it absolutely worth it.

If you’re considering making the switch, I’ll be sharing some amazing gluten-free and dairy-free recipes on my Instagram soon! I hope they’ll make your journey easier and inspire you to take that first step.

Thank you so much for the love and support you’ve shown by reading my blog. Let’s continue to uplift each other and grow our village together!
